The Little Things Give You Away

Finally, Anakin and I are getting to the equator of Meteora. Yet I realize something, there is no time hole. We're still going to be in the future. I didn't even know what it would be like.

The cockpit opens. I get out along with Anakin and look around. A piercing scream surges through my ears. I rush toward the pleads as quickly as I can. Anakin is trudging next to me.

It was wourse than I thought. This was almost just like the that woman told me about.

"We evacuated all of the children and elder before! I don't understand how they got back!" I shout over the noise.

"They must have been told about it and rushed toward Meteora to check on their loved ones that were left!" Anakin says.

I nod and run toward the first person I see. The wind begins to pick up just as I get to her side.

Anakin grabs my arm. "Tash its to dangerous we have to get out of here!"

"No I'll be okay." I tell him.

"Quick!"

"Excuse me miss where are you hu-

"TASH NOW!" He pulls me away faster and harder.

"NO!" I cry. "THESE PEOPLE NEED HELP YOU JUST DON'T GET IT VADER! YOU NEVER WILL! WE HAVE TO HELP THESE PEOPLE! IF YOU EVER LOVED ANY OF YOURS FRIENDS YOU WOULD HELP THEM! PLEASE!"

I begin feeling tears rush down my cheeks.

Anakin picks me up silently and sits me down in the speeder.

We're going to stop at a medical bay.

We sit outside and don't talk. I felt as if he was the same person I once knew. Before thinking about it I'm crying into his shoulder. Never had I seen him let anyone do that. It was a bit frightening.

"Come on we're gonna take you home." Anakin tells me in a deep voice.

"What?"

"You're gonna go back to Kashykk and you're going to go into that time hole and go back to Coruscant." He demands.

I get inside the speeder and listen. * * *

I'm walking back toward The Freedom Rider along with Anakin.

"Goodbye." I say looking down at my shoes refusing to meet his gaze.

"Bye." He says.

I give him a hug and get inside. It was finally time to go home.
