Bleed It Out

The line is finally moving forward. All the people in line were begging for food or something like that. If you ask me, the Chancellor wasn’t really responsible. “I’m going outta my f_ _ _ _ _ _ mind!” I tell the guy next to me. He just nods. “You aren’t the only one…” His words scare me. I’m fifth in line now. I slip a mint under my tongue. A vision suddenly starts to come. I see Obi-Wan and Padme. They’re both sitting outside on the balcony of Padme’s apartment. He looks so tired. Padme is hurt and confused. You’re going to kill him aren’t you? Padme asks, fear overflowing in her words. I suddenly see nothing but me and a black silhouette. I bleed it out, dig it deeper just to throw it away. I say. I hear heavy breathing. That scares me. There’s sweat dripping from my brow. I miss the old you… I whisper. Before I know it the area around me is spinning, I’m falling. I’m on the floor. The Chancellor is standing over me, a harsh look on his face. I lift my face up from the hard ground. Suddenly a man with a gun comes over to the Chancellor’s side. “Lock and load.” He orders to the man. He nods as a ray of infer red is on my head. I get a terrible head ache. It makes me want to scream. But, I don’t. The guy that was in front of me in line turns around punching the man in the face. He pick me up by the arm. “You have to leave this area now!” He shouts dragging me to an old table. “The Chancellor is letting go of all hope for this planet. He thinks these people should be killed.” The guy tells me. “Yeah, I kinda noticed that when he wouldn’t answer their pleads.” I state. “I’m Zed.” I shake his hand. “I’m Tash.” To be continued…
